"Summer Adventure Camp 2008"
Kids & Company participates in the Iowa Quality Rating System!
Kids & Company Summer Adventure Camp 2008 is for children ages 4 through 12. Curriculum and activities will be designed to engage your child throughout the summer in a fun, inviting, age appropriate setting.
The last day to enroll for the summer program is July 31st.
Field trips, special visitors and swimming at the ISD pool will also occupy children throughout the summer months. Hydrant parties are always a big hit! Many visitors, weekly themed programming with exciting field trips will help to provide a busy and stimulating summer for your children.
The CHARACTER COUNTS! program utilizes visual arts, dramatic play, and children’s literature, to learn about core ethical values as the basis of good character. Focused activities with the information and values used are modeled throughout the week. (check out www.iowacharacter.org for additional information.) Kid Fit will encourage your child to move and exercise for fun, as well as learn basic skills of various sports, and healthy eating habits. Our Summer Reading program will keep your child reading through the summer, helping him or her to retain skills from the school year and be ready to start again in the fall.
Summer at Kids & Company also offers your children a time to relax, to play with friends, and to enjoy just being a kid. Offered at select elementary schools (see list below), the Kids & Company sites are conveniently located for you as you head for work in the mornings and stop at night to pick up your children. Sites are divided up by age groups to provide more age appropriate programming specially geared to your child’s level. Site directors of school-year Kids & Company programs will be sharing the supervision of the summer programs. Summer locations are as follows:
- Grades Pre-school through 1st:
Roosevelt Elementary – 517 N 17th Street
- Grades 2nd through 6th:
